We are a Mixed Billing Practice

Dear Valued Patients,

Doctors at Brandon Park had transitioned from Bulk Billing to Mixed billing since 2022. The current out-of-pocket fee is $30.00

Please note that the ‘Gap Fee” is applied to all face-to-face Standard Consultation, face to face Long Consultation and all Telephone Consultations.

Why are we changing our fees?

Over the year the operating costs for running a general practice such as rent, medical supplies, wages, digitization, Payroll Tax (New tax on GP practices in VIC) have risen at a far greater rate than paid by Medicare.

We shall however continue to BULK BILL eligible patient groups for most of the consultation types like:

• Children under 16 years of age
• Health Care card / Pension Card
• International students with BUPA or Allianz Health Insurance
• DVA Gold Card Holders
• GP care Plan, Mental Health Care plan and Health Assessment
• We may bulk bill if it is only for “Result Follow up” or only for “Immunisation appointments.”

If you are genuinely financially disadvantaged, please speak with your doctor.

• All type of Non-Bulk Billed appointments: $30.00

• Implanon Insertion only: $50.00
• Implanon Removal only: $50.00
• Implanon Insertion and Removal: $60.00
• Wound dressing: $15
• Skin Biopsy/Excision: $50.00

CANCELLATION/MISSED APPOINTMENT FEES: Please note that a cancellation fee of $30.00 will apply if you fail to turn up to your appointment or cancel your appointment within 2 hours of appointment booking time

 

Private Billing (for all the patients who do not hold a valid Medicare card or not eligible for Bulk Billing as outlines above):

• Practice fees are to be billed as follows:

Weekdays (Monday- Friday) and Saturday from 11.30 am to 12.59 PM)

• • Standard consultation (For in person or Telephone):

    $72.85 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $42.85, Out of Pocket fee $30)

• • Long consultation:

  $112.90 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $82.90, Out of Pocket fee $30)

              Saturday from 1.00 Pm and Sunday all day:

• • Standard consultation (For in person)

                $85.80 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $85.80, Out of Pocket fee $30)

• •  Telephone consultation:

    $72.85 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $42.85, Out of Pocket fee $30)

• • Long consultation:

  $125.70 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $95.70, Out of Pocket fee $30)

Mode of Payment:

• The Practice accepts payments from the patients via cash or debit/credit card.
• Holders of private health insurance are also obliged to pay for their consultations at the counter, as the Practice does not claim these expenses from the insurance companies. Upon acceptance of payment from the patients, the Practice Staff is obliged to issue a Payment Receipt, which the patients can utilize to lodge a claim with their respective insurance companies.
• All private fees are to be paid by the patients on the day of treatment. We do not encourage deferred payments; therefore, all the patients are urged to make sure that the payments are made at the time of their consultations.
• We can claim the BUPA, Allianz and HCF health funds directly on behalf of the patients. Please speak to our admin staff.
