Holter Monitoring (24-Hour ECG) Services at Doctors@Brandonpark

Continuous Heart Rhythm Tracking for a Complete Picture.

Sometimes, a standard ECG—which only records your heart’s electrical activity for a few seconds—doesn’t capture the full story. If your symptoms come and go, or occur during specific activities, Holter Monitoring allows us to monitor your heart continuously as you go about your normal daily routine.

What is a Holter Monitor?

A Holter monitor is a small, wearable device that records your heart’s rhythm for 24 to 48 hours. It uses electrodes (small, sticky patches) placed on your chest that connect to a lightweight recording device, which you can easily clip to your belt or carry in a pocket.

Why might you need this service?

Your physician may recommend a Holter monitor if you are experiencing:

  • Unexplained Fainting: To see if a heart rhythm issue is causing dizziness or loss of consciousness.
  • Palpitations: To capture "skipped beats" or racing sensations that don't happen in the doctor's office.
  • Atypical Chest Pain: To monitor heart function during physical exertion or stress.
  • Treatment Evaluation: To check if your current heart medication or pacemaker is working effectively.

What to Expect

The process is non-invasive, painless, and designed to interfere as little as possible with your day.

What Happens

Setup

A nurse or doctor at our clinic attaches the electrodes to your chest. The monitor is small—about the size of a camera. It starts recording immediately after set up.

Monitoring

You wear the device for 24 hours. You will be asked to keep a simple diary of your activities and any symptoms you feel.

Return

You return to the clinic to have the electrodes removed and the data uploaded for analysis.

Results

Our specialists review every heartbeat recorded to provide a comprehensive report to your doctor.

Cost

Only 50$ fee (Out of pocket) for the whole procedure.

Patient Guidelines

To ensure the most accurate recording, please keep the following in mind:

  • Keep it Dry: You cannot shower, swim, or bathe while wearing the monitor, as the device is not waterproof.
  • Stay Active: Unless told otherwise, go about your usual routine. The goal is to see how your heart reacts to your real life.
  • Record Symptoms: If you feel a flutter or dizziness, note the exact time in your diary so we can correlate it with the data.
